Privacy, Dead and Still Loving it.

Back in 2003 I wrote a little quick article about how privacy has degraded and in the 7 years of the original article we have had such great advancements such as MySpace, FaceBook, and twitter, to name a few..

Recently people are all up in arms over FaceBook going and weakening their privacy policy and the sharing of personal information online. People are deleting their accounts under the assumption and belief that their personal information will vanish off the FaceBook servers… one word for you crazy people that are doing this, its called backups of the hordes of data that FaceBook has.

Privacy has been dead since the advent of the phone, the computer and the internet. Since the internet came along we have wanted to get to know people, connect with old friends and family and be able to communicate for a lot cheaper.

The internet has made possibilities come true, as well as the ability to communicate for cheap.

Our failed Society

The failure of our society comes from the fact that we spend more money and energy on creating war, and finding an enemy then trying to be friends with people.

I sit and think of how far we would be if we spent all our effort on technology that was not designed for war, but instead for peace, and the wellness of our society as a whole.

It’s pretty sad that our society is based around war and warmongering, and the propagation of hatred and violence. A majority of industry is based around creating weapons of war, from planes, tanks, ships, bombs, guns, and nuclear weapons. Most our technological advancements have been based around creating weapons.

It is amazing how much of our medical technology is based around repairing the damage created from war. Much of the knowledge of amputations have been learned and mastered from the medical needs from war. World war two is a prime example of how Bayer, used war and experimenting on people in the concentration camps to prefect the products they were creating.

So What does it mean to be Canadian?

It is true, most Canadians have a hate for America they rationally can not explain.. but what people don’t look at is the simple truths… most of those people are out there slaving away at a job just like you and me… We both have walmart, we got tim hortons and starbucks, and they are now just getting tim hortons… We both got sears, home depot, office depot, etc, etc…

We both have people that vote for stupid political parties that don’t get results, and people wonder why that is… BECAUSE WE ELECTED STUPID PEOPLE!!!… We think that having a minority gov’t is a bad thing… Americans really don’t know what that is, even if you explain it 100 times…

We have the monarchy as our head of state… I don’t know if that is something to be proud of or embarrassed over.. because personally, it don’t matter either way… They Got the president as their head of state… We Both got the bankers as our real masters… the president is a puppet and so is the Prime minister.

We watch the same reality TV shows and hope some random person that we don’t know, nor really care about, not get voted off for some stupid reason.. We both watch the same sports games… and so forth….

So what does it mean to be Canadian… not a damned thing….

Its just a line in the sand.. that divides the land that don’t know the difference if over there is the USA or Canada…

There is no REAL Canadian Identity, We have no patriotism, or if we do we sure don’t show it, or show we are proud to be Canadian.

Canada is just a Country of Convenience and a place for people to become citizens of convenience… so a real Canadian Identity is we are just a lazy cheap country that sells out our values for a buck…

So in other words, we are just like the USA.

Entertainment is dead…

Have you noticed that there is nothing left in the movie industry? No Original Ideas left? All the creativity in Hollywood has dried up and there is nothing left.

Its remake after remake, or comic book heroes being made into movies, or cartoons made into movies… it’s the same thing rehashed. The worst part of this is they are picking crappy movies to remake for no real good reason other then to make better special effects.

Seriously when did acting become secondary to the special effects? When did actors become replaced by special effects… what’s next? Being replaced with holograms?

There are no real good actors anymore, back when there were no special effects, people had to act. Kids now days would call those crappy movies. When a special effect was a woman whipping her hair, or something as simple as that, or a line, or a gesture, that is what made people remember that movie. This is not the case anymore where actors are just there to fill the screen.

TV shows are crap, its redo of some other show, but let’s add some comedy to it instead, most TV shows have no purpose, and reality does generally suck, as they have nothing interesting to offer. Why do we have season 6 of some reality show? Seriously people get a grip, the shows are entirely too stupid. I still want survivor to go to Antarctica, that way they can be real survivors, instead of fake crap.

Frankly I’m kind of sick of bad TV. What is worse is the theaters are filled with more crappy movies that make millions because of the special effects, not the acting.

A lot of the actors just can’t act these days, the craft is dead. Its all about them standing on a green screen moving back and forth yelling like their about to die, and the special effects are added later.  Is that acting? REALLY is it? I don’t think so. I think its weak and pathetic way to call ones self an actor or actress. Perhaps real acting happens at your local drama theater.

I find myself watching public TV more, and other learning related TV shows, because the rest of the shows on TV offer nothing stimulating or entertaining. It’s always interesting to learn how things are done, that you will never get a chance to do.

I don’t know what else I can say, but as I have said before, turn off the TV. Don’t watch the news on TV read it on-line.  Read two or three versions of the same story.

When you have watched enough TV as I have, nothing really entertains you. You may think it’s kind of sad really but, in my personal opinion, I think its time people started to pick up a book and read, I might have to take my own advice and do the same.

Just a moment of pause.

Today, began like any other day, only to turn up the radio in the car on the way back home only to find that the king of pop had died of a heart failure.

I really don’t know what to say about this, but the computer problems kinda seem small all of a sudden. You take a moment to realize the contribution that he made to the music world, and how many billions of lives he effected with his music. The last people to do this were The Beatles and Elvis.

In history there are few artists that people fall in love with and feel connected with in some way or another. Michael Jackson was one of of the few that people connected with.  He shared his music with us and his passion for dancing. It was who he was and what he was. He was nothing else.

He worked, and danced to exhaustion, day after day when he toured. All I can say is he will be missed. He was what Elvis and the Beatles were to the baby boomer generation..

An amazing musician, artist, and humanitarian died today.  The only thing we had in common, was the same birthday, like millions of others out there.

It seems sureal to sit here and write this, because I was a fan even through all the bs, I knew he never did the bad things to those kids. All he wanted to do was relive his childhood. Thats all he wanted.

Today is a sad day in history. Thank you Michael Jackson, I bet your breakdancing at the gates of heaven right now.

All Bad things must end?

Some time ago, I had spent some time reading previous articles of the past several years and found that they were always talking about negative topics. The realization, after reading these articles created the need to take a break from writing and to figure out what type of writing I wanted to do.

In my time away from writing, I learned that living in a more positive way of thinking would allow positive topics to be written. Starting with turning off the television, and not watching the news, and other negative television shows. This decision allowed me to become more selective with what I input into my thinking and consciousness.

The difference of being informed, and being bombarded with the news is what people have failed to figure out in their own heads. The Old saying of garbage in, garbage out came into many of the topics written, I feel its time for change.

There is nothing good to write about after watching the news, or listening to politics or this and that. Most of the TV shows have hate, anger, and violence in them that has no point or meaning to them. When you have seen as much TV as I have, you become desensitized the bad news of people dying, wild fires and people losing their homes, people being shot in the street in a gang war. After a while, It does not faze you anymore

The news makes you care about other people’s problems. I only have the energy to care about my family and myself. Even my friends are getting the short end of the stick.  In a world of uncertainty, you have to check your priorities.

To quote the bible, which I do only because it is a good line: There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven. The time has come to change the topics I write about.

The end of the world and negative topics are just that, at the end of their time. It is time to start to writing topics worth writing about. In a world with so much negativity, we need a world of hope and a world of happiness. As rare as those things may seem, Somewhere there is a topic to write.

Today is a new day in this blog, with topics that are just a little more positive, and more observational. I am going to work on changing my styles of writing to be a more positive and less negative.

My best for now.
